aged 4 yrs in large allier and 3 yrs in bottle.opened one night earlier to breathe, poured a small amount to taste, deep garnet, a lot of wood, oak, licorice, sweet spice,so tense in mouth ,rich and ripe tannin; drank in the the next evening, some dried prune, amazing mouth-watering acidity, it's still in very young shape and absolutely no problem to age for the next 5-8 yrs. amazing wine.

Very closed initially, but opened up with a couple hours in the decanter. Well structured, but ultimately over the hill and without enough fruit left to really keep things interesting. Drink now.

I echo what some others mention This bottle certainly seems compact, a bit dry on the back end and beautiful aromatics up front. Classic Brunello nose of racy plum, cedar and cherry. I am enjoying this bottle and have one more in the cellar which I'll drink soon.

This particular bottle had reached the crest of the hill and just begun it's descent. Nice with food, but a little too much dead leaf for me to really dig it on its own later in the evening. Tannins/structure well balanced though. I'd drink if you have it lying around your cellar.

Nice mature nose that still keeps together. Plum in the background, various notes of maturity at centre stage: chocolate, nuts, some soy sauce, meatiness and leaves of tea. Quite nice. Quite full body, soft plum, raisin fruit, dry tannins and a Little bit hollow in midpalate. Harmonius with gentle oak flavours, but some dryness, some lack of fruit, and some thiness. This Brunello lacks some power and elegance, but has kept together well. Sometimes Tuscan wines at 15 years of age stinks of soy sauce, but this had avoided that trap. Good, solid performance.
