I opened this bottle at my favorite wine bar to celebrate their 20th anniversary, as well as my 2nd COVID vaccine dose.
One of the oldest wines I have had, and it was delicious. Tannins that remained were like velvet and the acidity level was a pleasant surprise. The wine continued to develop as it decanted.
Great garnet color, aromas of red fruit, leather & herbs/spice/floral notes. Super concentrated flavors of cherries, strawberries with hints of minerality and terra cotta.
This was a fantastic wine.

Mid-garnet color reveals the age, but still beautiful. Expressive aromas of dry fig and spices, dry fig and prune pleasantly blend on the palate. Acidity's still strong. Good finish.

First rate stuff; like walking through a perfume store designed to let you smell everything from strawberries to leather. Tannins are mostly gone, but still solid acid. Palate less impressive than the nose, but most everything is less impressive than this nose.

PnP, light ruby, nose of red fruit, mostly strawberries, but lots of secondary characteristics, floral and herbal, earth, leaves, allspice, bramble, pepper. Palate is balanced, medium body, nice round tannins that are well integrated, acidity is in good harmony with sweetness. Long finish. Excellent Brunello

Beautiful wine stored in my cellar since released. The character of the "windy hill" comes through with a nose of rosemary, red fruits and allspice. Wine is full bodied with a long 90 second finish. Round tannins are still present and the fruit primary. This wine needs a long slow'O to show its true stuff. I would say continue to hold and you will be rewarded. Reminiscent of the '85 at this stage.
