Very good. I have a hard time acknowledging that 2011 is a not so good vintage in northern Italy. This one is very good, complex and easy drink. Could be more intense and fresh in a better vintage but still very good. I guess: no bad vintages any more……

Good>Very good. Too bad this was my last one from this vintage - based on this showing, it's still in the early part of its preferred window. On PnP, the nose is about wood, soil, and leather in that order. After a few minutes in the (first) glass, the aromas are slowly shifting away from place and moving more toward bright cherry fruit. By the second glass, the fruit has taken on a dark red>black fruit veneer, the chewy tannins have added a slight coarseness, and the EtOH begins to show itself as the bottle warms to room temp. An excellent example of the vintage, the grape and place, with another 5-7 very good years yet ahead, too. 14,5% abv., natural cork, with minimal chunky sediment. Easily recommended

My taste might be off tonight but this is average at best. Way too sweet.
