A chardonnay that has the right balance between structure and fruit. I suspect the fruits were picked at the right time resulting in a sublime wine. Robust but refine, creamy but never rich and fresh but not overdone.
This is a fleshy wine, no doubt. Yellow with a green tinge and the nose is a farm of pear, apricot and some flintiness but never over the top. The body is carried by waves of soft but powerful freshness, creaminess with a ripples of oak thrown in, but never out of place. Lovely and complex finish with cashew and some sweetness.
Drink now to 4+ years.

An absolute cracker. Pale gold with green tinting. Still so much oak showing with buttered popcorn and creamy caramel. Nutty cashew coming through too. The palate is brimming with wood, acid, creamy nuts & grapefruit. Powerful & structured, with effortless length. Still not yet at its peak.

Fragrant, flowery. More burgundy im the mouth. Showed well against top 1er Cru Chassagne and Meursault tonite.
