Perfect Flacc, still youthful. Hightoned with lush fruits, hints of leather on the nose. Ripe on the palate with expressive berry notes, sweet clay, tobacco.

Double decanted 2 hours before drinking. It had pronounced intensity. On the nose, ripe cherry, blueberry, cedar, leather. It had still good amount of fruit that are well integrated with tertiary flavors. Tannin is well integrated. I felt that it was alive and mature. Long and complex finish.

Unfiltered cloudy muddy consistency (which I like); red berry fruits, stewed, soft, with red licorice, wet leaves, smoky, slight oakiness well-integrated; lots of supple soft tannins, this was really good although not as structured as the others and showing a bit of softening from age. I expected more acidity from this Sangiovese. Guessed 1998 Merlot or Syrah Super Tuscan. DD at Cotzen's.

Cloudy, secondary and tertiary notes (tobacco, wet soil). Not the best Flaccianello vintage I‘ve ever tried but still very much enjoyable.

Very elegant. In its prime in January 2023. No brown rim.
