Once this opens up it is really quite good. Lots of jam in the after taste. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cranberry, cherry and oak. It tastes like raspberry and cranberry. The body is medium. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

This one already has some bottle age. It has not hurt, and probably has not helped. The fruit is just slightly shy, maybe a little tired, compared to say, a 2009 Malbec, but some of the other components have integrated, rounded, and smoothed. There is plenty of the dark, rich, roasted blueberry and blackberry. Whatever oak they used, may be chips, has nicely integrated. Balanced acidity. More than adequate mid palate. Kind of a dark cherry finish.

Brought the Wine to a gathering and it went over very well. It is a good solid Agentinian Malbec that goes well with a variety of foods. There are others that are better, but for the price it works well.

Took a bit to open up, but once it did a wonderful head of concentrated strawberry with a long finish underscored by tobacco. More interesting than many Argentine malbecs. Held well through three days.
