Dark, juicy color in the glass. Nice nose with plums and blueberries, tad of vanilla. Medium acidity, some minerals, black peppery notes and then lots of elegant black fruits; plush tannins, some forest floor notes, and a medium-long finish with black fruits and oak. Very plush yet balanced and elegant wine - clearly California is style but in a more nuanced way than usual. Truly enjoyable, and went great with a grass-fed NY strip steak. Drink now, but no rush. 5-6 more years will do this no harm. Perhaps it lacks some complexity, but it’s nonetheless a very well-made wine. (21 views)

Light to medium bodied. Red fruit abounds, bright cherry, sweetened strawberry, red licorice, mint leaves, slight Luden's cherry cough drop. Not your typical Cab Sauvignon, but very enjoyable. (75 views)

I really enjoyed this wine, a wonderfully rich and complex bottle. Displays a medium dandelion yellow color that foreshadows its layered texture. On the nose, I’d almost mistake this for a grand cru Burgundy with its nose of burnt caramel, white flowers and perhaps even a hint of ocean breeze. The chardonnay is nicely restrained here which gives the wine structure and backbone, while the roussanne adds an elegant flourish of fruit - a combination that works so well I question why it’s not more typical. Lengthy finish given above noted richness ends with just a hint of petrol. Definitely one to age and I’m guessing will be even more delicious in five years, maybe deserving of 95. I have one bottle left, so we’ll see! (54 views)

Consistent with others’ notes. Golden color, aging nicely. A round, layered style of white, as one would expect for Roussanne and Chardonnay from barrel, yet has great freshness, doesn’t feel ponderous or cloying.

Delicious. Interesting color in the glass between Starbright lemon and golden, moderately aromatic with yellow fruit and blossom, palate is dry, complex and integrated, ripe stone fruit leads with nectarines and a bit of apricot, melon, apple, sweet citrus bit of zest, lemon cream, acidity is bright, body medium +, finish will not quit. Color. Rich gold and yellow.

Nose. Honey, melon, apples, straw, lemongrass.

PnP, doesn't need much air, even at this young age. Pleasant wine, pretty Grenache notes up front of strawberry, cranberry and cherry. Telltale pepper from Syrah on finish, with some blackberry in the background. (123 views)

This is a medium straw-yellow colored, hazy wine. The flavors are somewhat varietal of Roussanne and Marsanne with some lemon, apricot, and tropical fruit. The finish is flinty with some bitterness. The body is medium with an austere structure. This is a good wine, but it's not up to par with the good quality Rhone whites. (183 views)
