Tasted by Sipp'n time on 12/22/2019 flawed bottle: Seemed quite vinegary. Probably a bad bottle? (792 views)
Tasted by SuperSomm on 9/4/2019: Medium ruby colour. Medium nose with red plum, artificial forest fruits and vanilla. Taste of vanilla, strawberries and red plum. Short and odd-dry finish. Medium acidity and low tannins. Medium body and light flavour. An acceptable quality wine. Goes well by itself. (341 views)
Tasted by graemeg on 12/28/2018: {screwcap} Thin fruit juice with alcohol; no appreciable tannin or acid, more of a sweetish (nearly off-dry for a red) fruit punch. Fairly nasty stuff. (1035 views)

Merlot

Merlot is a dark blue–colored wine grape variety, that is used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines. The name Merlot is thought to be a diminutive of merle, the French name for the blackbird, probably a reference to the color of the grape. Its softness and "fleshiness", combined with its earlier ripening, makes Merlot a popular grape for blending with the sterner, later-ripening Cabernet Sauvignon, which tends to be higher in tannin.
