Tasted by James Kim on 5/16/2021 & rated 93 points: Get Together (MK's home): Decanted for 1.5h then back into bottle. Now 2h after decant. Tight, very shy aromas. Palate with just ripe apples, a bit of oxidative nuttiness, lovely minerals, herbs, and a bit of wet wool. Excellent acids but yet somehow, still mellow. With more air, the wine becomes more expressive on the nose, mirroring the palate. The palate becomes more seamless and balanced as the night wore on. Excellent but clearly needs plenty of air.  Tasted by empire80 on 9/17/2020 & rated 90 points: Quite rich apple fruit, hint of honey sweetness but balanced with some acidity. Unusually I think this slightly improved when it was a fraction cooler than my wine fridge. (1395 views)

Tasted by 2caveman on 8/5/2016 & rated 93 points: I have been tasting this wine every few years for nearly a decade and have always enjoyed it. But last night I was floored by its purity, its laser-like minerality and its overall perfection on the palate. The nose is inviting. This wine is in the perfect place now and hard to see it getting better (2819 views)
Tasted by kosmik on 4/30/2016 & rated 91 points: Étonnant.

Tasted by Marcyrillo on 4/28/2014 & rated 93 points: Spectacular wine! I like it very much. It improves so well...
Gold, great acidity, very balanced, orange jam in the aftertaste! (3609 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 11/28/2013: Thanksgiving Feast (San Francisco): Good pear fruit, reasonable acidity, dry as billed. Just a little fuzzy and lacking real concentration. (3693 views)
Tasted by rentmp3 on 2/17/2013 & rated 90 points: Wasn't sure what I would get when I opened this based on previous reviews but I fortunately got a great bottle. Very typical quince, honey, and ginger spice; moderately rich mouthfeel and a decent amount of acid although not at the levels I enjoy. I started this a little warmer than usual but as it chilled more in the fridge, I started to sense the "earthy" notes that have been described below but for me, it only added to rather than detracted from the wine; I would describe it as more of a white truffle note. There was ample fruit in this bottling but I do agree that it wasn't as pure as I like from Huet, but overall, a very solid wine from a difficult vintage. (4053 views)
Bien. (3089 views)
Tasted by Marcyrillo on 2/10/2013 & rated 90 points: Very good as usual. Complex and balanced. Excelent wine. (2772 views)
Tasted by ronnieroots on 12/2/2012 flawed bottle: Oxidised. (2405 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 8/17/2012: I noted this as not pure late last year, and it surely showed that way tonight. Almost artificially rich entry followed by a hollow center, muddled fruit and a frankly dirty finish. Earth is okay, dirt is not. A very poor, weird bottle.

Much to my surprise, this was much better after a night in the fridge. Guava entry, much more substance in the mid-palate, and a grapefruit zest finish that was positively Sauvignon like. There is still a good amount of soil on the finish, but with time, the fruit has managed to overcome this. (2469 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 12/1/2011: Medium yellow. Very interesting, pungent nose of citrus, pear and vanilla. Bracing acidity, tart papaya fruit, completely dry, some glycerine texture, then nutty finish that is full of soil. This has certainly filled out over the last 3 years but it is one of the most raw, least pure Huet I've ever had. In fact, it had me thinking more of Savennieres than Vouvray, especially with the somewhat funky finish. Maybe I should have heeded my own advice and waited 5 more years to let it mesh and soften.
(3189 views)
(3142 views)
Tasted by jwsmith on 8/28/2010 & rated 91 points: I have very little exp with Vouvray, but this wine possess unmatched purity and finesse... (3523 views)
Tasted by isbjoern on 8/3/2010 & rated 89 points: Gorgeous golden color. Baked apples and nuts (and a hint of rotten fruit) on the nose. The palate is fresh with very good density and weight, well balanced acidity and maybe a hint of residual sugar. Baked yellow apple and lemon flavors mixed with nuts and marzipan (on the finish) and with a nice mineral backbone. Very enjoyable. - 89 points (3460 views)
Tasted by VHJV on 7/17/2010 & rated 92 points: The ability of these wines to resist oxidation is just amazing. I drank this bottle over 6 days, pouring a glass per day and just recorking back to the fridge, and it was still fresh and vibrant on the last day. Initially the wine was suprisingly open for a Vouvray of this age with lovely fruit, minerality and balance. As the days passed, the fruit got in the hiding somewhat, but more and more lovely nuance was to be found day by day. Easily outstanding. (3817 views)
Tasted by rc@ughey on 5/2/2010 flawed bottle: Corked. Ugh. (3736 views)
Tasted by rmh66 on 12/22/2009 & rated 90 points: At first this wine smelled like garbage, like a pile of rotting fruit (sorry, but this is true) with some honey, but after a while it burned off a bit revealing a complex nose of honey, apples, lemon, honeysuckle, fruit salad, etc. Tasted predominately of honey and lemon with good acidity (not overwhelmingly dry) and a fairly long finish. I liked how this continued to morph over the next few days. Went extremely well with apples and cheeses. (3805 views)
Tasted by WildeMeeuw on 8/24/2009 & rated 81 points: () Kleur: Bleek strogeel. Algemeen / potentieel: Meer 'vlak'. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Smaak / Afdronk: 10 + Algemeen / potentieel: 5 = 81/100 (2347 views)
Tasted by MauriceE on 6/29/2009 & rated 90 points: Rich, minerality, long. Very, very good. (4180 views)
