Tasted by SimonG on 11/13/2018 & rated 90 points: Another lovely bottle of this. Lovely line, minerally and clean withjust a hint of development showing itself as a slightly richer mid-palate before the clean finish. Excellent BB. ***1/2 (2750 views)
Tasted by SimonG on 10/24/2017 flawed bottle: Started off well, but with some air it revealed itself to be faintly corky. (3655 views)
Tasted by llink on 2/18/2017 & rated 87 points: Lemon, diffuse florals and discreet spice on the nose. Round, fairly simple palate that lacks minerality and layers of nuance. The 2012 BB last week was much more interesting. (4013 views)
Tasted by Oh Dae-su on 12/24/2016 & rated 91 points: Gave it a lot of air. 24h open in the bottle. Very rewarding. (4290 views)
Tasted by Oh Dae-su on 10/2/2016 & rated 90 points: A bit better again. (4082 views)
Tasted by SimonG on 9/26/2016 & rated 90 points: Phew, back on decent form. ***1/2 (2772 views)
Immer wieder gerne (1963 views)
Tasted by SimonG on 6/9/2016 & rated 86 points: Rather mean and anemic compared to previous bottles. On decline, and awkward bottle, or in need of a bit more air? Will revisit this evening... Well, at 24 and 48hrs, it has improved, but still a little lean and shrill cf previous bottles. Bare *** (1763 views)
Tasted by Oh Dae-su on 3/17/2016 & rated 91 points: Zum gefühlten Frühlingsanfang gibt's heute meine letzte Flasche vom 2009er. (1776 views)
Tasted by SimonG on 2/25/2016 & rated 90 points: Lovely, and consistent with previous bottles. Lasts well over four days without obvious deterioration. ***1/2 (1847 views)
Tasted by heiamat.no on 9/27/2015 & rated 89 points: Nydelig nese med steinfrukt, smør, fatkrydder, mineralitet og limesyrlighet. (2168 views)
Tasted by Beckster2000 on 6/28/2015 & rated 90 points: Definitely one of the top contenders of best regional white Burgundy. This hot vintage is drinking well right now but could work for another 1-2 years. (2239 views)
Tasted by aekenback on 6/27/2015 & rated 90 points: Good wine that definately swings above it's appelation (which the price tag does as well). Lean and with good balance for a 2009 white burgundy. Really nice. (2100 views)
Tasted by Oh Dae-su on 4/27/2015 & rated 90 points: Very well evolved and already a little bit aged (in beautiful style). Needed about 30 to 40 minutes to wake up. The balance of this one is outstanding for a Bourgogne Blanc. Very well fitted flavours from oak, slightly buttery, nicely creamy and very well corresponding mild flavours of lemon and shy herbs. A very good 2009, not too bold or ripe, Bourgogne blanc. (2202 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 4/27/2015: Both feels like its not opened up but also has hints of caramel and hazelnut which I associate with pre-ox. Not so sure where this one is going. (2223 views)
Tasted by dbkitc on 4/21/2015 & rated 90 points: (at d'chez eux- Paris) A tight race with the Laflaive though the styles are different. This is more serious – wood, citrus and stones. Not quite as full on the palate but it might be even better in 3 to 5 years. Special Bourgogne. (90+) (1896 views)
Tasted by the godfather on 4/20/2015: tasty as always (1730 views)
Tasted by the godfather on 3/22/2015: Cork was totally saturated. Still tasty but would have been an issue with age (1753 views)
Tasted by SimonG on 3/20/2015 & rated 90 points: Cork completely wet through, but contents consistent with previous bottles. Lovely. ***1/2 (1694 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 3/13/2015: Well, off the cork pull in a Zalto burgundy it smells amazing. Has a beautiful chard smokiness to it. Finally, its come around (after I drank 6 bottles from the case) Very long finish. Really good right now. (1766 views)
Tasted by the godfather on 1/9/2015: an epic bourgogne, huge nose, massive finish, just so good (1845 views)
Tasted by the godfather on 11/21/2014: A lovely bourgogne, so balanced and bright (1932 views)
Tasted by nzinkgraf on 11/7/2014: Very ashy and flinty aromas. Not getting much of the hazelnut note, but others did comment on it. As I serach more, the hazelnut is definitely on the finish, but not bothering me all that much. To me just 'en fuego' with its smashed rock aromas. Top of its game I imagine right now, not seeing any decline, just on a plateau, I reckon. Yes, some maturity to the palate, but i feel maturity affects fruit a lot more than mineral and this was a lot of mineral to begin with. Wow, lime curd, lime meringue. Hazelnut is still in the wheelhouse, just adding to complexity without overtaking anything. The olde...a little is good, a lot is too much. (1892 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 10/31/2014: Already starting to get that hazelnut tone, just hints of it, which I am not sure i like all the much. Held up on day two though. And the palate is certainly singing. (3458 views)
Tasted by SimonG on 1/7/2014 & rated 91 points: This goes from strength to strength and is really hitting its slide now and punching well above its weight. Palest straw. A lovely expressive nose of hazelnut and cream from the off. Nicely mineral with good line. It's lowly appellation comes through with a lack of concentration and intensity on the finish, but the elegance, nose and front end are exemplary for its level. Delicious. Barest **** (2919 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
