Tasted by EMichels on 12/10/2022 & rated 92 points: Light color; Nice character; A bit of raisin; Very nice (508 views)
Tasted by canan on 8/26/2022 & rated 88 points: Noval VP mini-vertical (P81): Sewer and some VA but not in a defective way. There is some red currant and cherry fruit but also glue/VA.
Lovely and developed wine but it is disjointed and has a short aftertaste. Otherwise a fine balance. (701 views)
Tasted by chatters on 12/25/2020: Christmas Day 2020 (My place, Kent Street): Served with cheddar and stilton.
Popped and poured. Lovely figgy joy, quite lightweight or resolved (does port get resolved?) but beautifully balanced. No alarming alcohol heat here just a charming, fleshy, glass of happiness...actually we finished about half the bottle. Went beautifully with the cheeses and various hurrahs whilst watching Master and Commander...pity we didn't have any Madeira... (1293 views)
Tasted by logos on 2/10/2019 & rated 71 points: quite pale, tawny-tinged. very light body, rather thin texture. much like previous note; declining, but holding in there and quite agreeable still, especially the long, aromatic aftertaste. (2183 views)
Tasted by crazywineguy on 3/4/2017 & rated 90 points: The 7th wine (and second port) of the night so comments a bit unfocused and recorded next day. Very light colour, pale, pale tawny. Had thrown deep crust in bottle. A very light smooth VP, easy to drink and a light shadow of earlier years I suspect but wonderfully smooth spirit and complex old notes of varnish and subtle wood esters. Probably on a downhill trajectory, no reason to cellar longer. Agree very much with Logos on description but can't fathom others scoring for this wine. (3099 views)
Tasted by logos on 3/2/2016 & rated 72 points: pale, slightly tawny, reddish colour; lightly woody, delicate nose of refined fruit, faded flowers and neutral brandy. light bodied for a port; no apparent tannin but penetrating taste. delicate flavour of classy, almost transparent fruit; good length, harmonious finish. past prime but still very good. (3877 views)
Tasted by candyman on 12/20/2009 & rated 80 points: leaky and low neck not oxidised ligh and sweet un remarkable (5659 views)
Tasted by candyman on 8/26/2008 & rated 80 points: leaky cork low neck, not hot or oxidised.sweet little acid.
OK (5174 views)
Tasted by HamishR on 8/25/2006 & rated 88 points: Showed quite well, surprising since the experts said it was not a good wine. (4173 views)

Port Blend

Over a hundred varieties of grapes (castas) are sanctioned for port production, although only five (Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Touriga Francesa, and Touriga Nacional) are widely cultivated and used.
