(219 views) | | Tasted by Westcoastred on 7/16/2023 & rated 92 points: A particular combination in the nose that I haven’t experienced before. Stewed dark berries, baking spices, cocoa, smoke, graphite. Deep ruby, translucent on the pour. Initial pepper notes, then smoke, blackberry on the palate, followed by pepper and cocoa, finishing with graphite. Powdery tannins, rounded dark fruit. Oak. Medium dry. Light to medium acidity. Medium-long finish. Earthy, robust and elegant. Certainly bold. Decanted for an hour and a quarter.
This would be terrific at twice the price. An absolute steal at $12. (244 views) | | Tasted by srwingman on 4/28/2023 & rated 90 points: I really like this wine. It's well balanced, and has a nice finish. It has a fair amount of tannins, that would allow it to lay down for a few years, but I didn't want to wait. I would let it breath and/or decant it for at least an hour. (294 views) | | Tasted by goldgarf on 4/8/2023 & rated 86 points: Pleasant and acidic, with berry flavors. (295 views) | | Tasted by djs on 5/7/2022 & rated 91 points: Raspberry and floral. Good QPR. (534 views) | | Tasted by GP75 on 2/5/2022 & rated 90 points: I like this wine. Bright and tart. Red fruit, berries on the tongue. Dark color but not quite inky black. Mild nose. Simple but tasty and effective. (396 views) |

Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson |
