Tasted by Gregory Dal Piaz on 1/23/2021 flawed bottle: Corked, decent wine underneath, but just corked enough to be ruined. (1177 views)
Tasted by CJC78 on 12/31/2018 & rated 92 points: Had NYE and it’s drinking beautifully, buttery caramel plums, maybe raspberries, cinnamon spice, nice finish. Seems to have matured into a beautiful port. (1394 views)
Tasted by fatherdamo on 7/29/2015 & rated 91 points: decanted to get rid of the sediment and good from the get go. Lovely nose and developed palate. I have another bottle and I look forward to drinking it soner rather than later. (2320 views)
Tasted by Birdmountain wine on 6/2/2012 & rated 88 points: bought it from the producer on a small market in Oporto 1998. The first impression when i got the cork off, was nose of burnt smokey wood and harbor. for 2 hours it was an interesting expirence. sweet as liquid vinegum on the tongue and then a development in my mouth with nuts, raisins, chocolate and wooden box. In the aftertaste a little acetone wich comes in very subtle and pleasant, leaving you wanting more. Over the top, yes, but still very love-able. (3306 views)
Tasted by psmith on 12/18/2006: An interesting assortment with Luger's steaks (Columbus, OH): From 375mL.

Just sipped on a bit. Lighter-style and ready to go. Red fruits and anise notes. Some nail-polish. Enjoyable. (5051 views)
Tasted by psmith on 12/21/2005 & rated 60 points: Funky and caramel on the nose, more tawny than vintage character. Some moldy flavors and nasty glue notes. Pale and hollow, showing its alcohol. Plain old bad - went down the drain. (4023 views)

Port Blend

Over a hundred varieties of grapes (castas) are sanctioned for port production, although only five (Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Touriga Francesa, and Touriga Nacional) are widely cultivated and used.
