Tasted by kmccarty006 on 12/13/2017 & rated 80 points: Was hoping for something a little more. Just wasn't that good. Maybe past its prime? (3001 views)
Tasted by Mackall817 on 11/24/2015 & rated 84 points: For the price, this wasn't a bad wine. It just wasn't anything special. It is the Mookie Wilson of wines--about as average as average can be. At first, it hits the palate pleasantly, and then disappears. Zero linger or after taste. For a Zin blend, that wasn't what we were looking for. Something I might serve at a large gathering where wine and beer is served; definitely NOT a nice dinner wine.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity. Ho Hum. (7924 views)
Tasted by asplatt19 on 4/17/2015 & rated 84 points: Okay - lot of fruit - raspberries and cherries, some licorice and a bit if oak. Smooth tannins. (8722 views)
Tasted by helispud on 6/7/2014 & rated 86 points: Good hamburger BBQ, pizza wine. Nice for the price! (11129 views)
Tasted by ghogg on 11/30/2013 & rated 83 points: - Crimsom color and aromas of black currant, cherry and coffee. It's unbalanced and has flavours of black currant, cherry and coffee with a medium/full body. Round texture with a medium finish - Not a bad wine if you like very fruity and slightly sweet, it's best use would be making sangria. I paired it with some sharp cheddar and enjoyed it, but rejected for my steak dinner. A low eighties wine (12613 views)
Tasted by Binniejo on 9/15/2013 & rated 84 points: Good house wine at 7.80 (11695 views)
 Tasted by donash.com on 2/5/2013 & rated 86 points: - Garnet color. (8942 views)
Tasted by pkomma on 2/3/2013 & rated 86 points: Impresive, paired well with marinera sauce, had a great after taste. (8272 views)
Tasted by WilliamF17 on 12/31/2012 & rated 85 points: APPEARANCE: Medium dark red, bright - 4/4
BOUQUET: Berry fruit, spice, coffee, mild vanilla, black fruit - 10/14
TASTE: Simple, medium body, Berry fruit, medium finish, v. light tannin, - 11/18
PREFERENCE: simple, everyday red wine, good for cooking, and parties on the deck, pizza and burgers - 2/4
used it for sauteing mushrooms and drinking in the following days (6301 views)
Tasted by wabi47 on 10/1/2012 & rated 82 points: medium body; serviceable generic red fruit; lowish acidity; short finish (6707 views)
Tasted by mikev101 on 8/9/2012 & rated 86 points: Nice second bottle. A bit fruity, light-medium bodied..nothing special, but not terrible (6371 views)
Tasted by mhenry on 7/17/2012 & rated 79 points: Gift bottle that was probably not stored well, so had low expectations. Used in cooking pasta dish, but that may have been a mistake. Beryl said first sniff was "dirty sweat socks," but could drink if desperate. Oh well, I have a cold and can't taste anything anyway. Toss the rest of this and open something else. (4897 views)
Tasted by drcork on 5/29/2012 & rated 86 points: Popped and poured. Drinkable. Definitely get the hot Zinfandel coming through. Seemed sweet as well. (5647 views)
Tasted by Olygold on 5/15/2012 & rated 92 points: Even better the next day. (5634 views)
Tasted by PimpDaddy2Kool on 4/6/2012 & rated 75 points: Had this at a neighbor's place. Disgusting. Very fake...chemical in flavor. Strictly for the Yellow Tail crowd. Why would anyone buy this plonk? (5865 views)
Tasted by mazik on 4/4/2012 & rated 84 points: The zinfandel leads the merlot and cabernet, very fruit forward and spicy, nothing to write home about but a tasty glass of wine to have with pizza or spaghetti on a weeknight. (5880 views)
Tasted by 422dbowlsby on 3/19/2012 & rated 87 points: Nice table wine and good QFP. Good fruit up front and through the finish; not overly dry. (6214 views)
Tasted by sshaw906 on 3/17/2012 & rated 88 points: Always good. Can't beat the price. (6187 views)
Tasted by Raja on 3/3/2012 & rated 83 points: Fruit bomb. (6308 views)
Tasted by Jordanparker814 on 1/31/2012 & rated 88 points: Nice table wine, fruit forward and not dry. (7319 views)
Tasted by Hankman2k on 1/2/2012 & rated 87 points: This year is a little jammy compared to years past. Nice fruit. Goes well with just about anything. (8240 views)
Tasted by sshaw906 on 12/24/2011 & rated 89 points: Lots of berry & low on tannins. A slightly sweet everyday wine. (8141 views)
Tasted by sshaw906 on 12/21/2011 & rated 89 points: Always a favorite for everyday drinking. Not as good as 2008 but a good red table wine. (8088 views)
Tasted by bdufton on 12/19/2011 & rated 85 points: Despite the score, this wine has its place. Like right now, typing my tasting note. Perfect wine for a crowd of people with varying degrees of knowledge and experience - differing tastes. This wine should hold their attention. Loads of fruit, some sweetness, and an absence of tannin which is maybe the big drawback. Would love to hear from the sophisticated palate and the nuances but suffice it to say that its big texturally but very linear, if that makes sense. If you like chewy, you'll like this. (9170 views)
Tasted by robnmo on 12/10/2011: party (9098 views)

Folie à Deux

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
