Brandon and Char for Dinner

Introduction

Chris and received a late afternoon invitation for dinner with Brandon, Charlene, and Debbie. Can't pass up dinner when Brandon is cooking... Started with crackers, cheese, apples, and salami. Dinner was huge boneless pork chops with a glazed pecan topping. Charlene made a delicious salad and risotto with mushrooms, fontina cheese, and asparagus. awesome. Dessert comprised of a large slice of angel food cake with strawberries and cream. My favorite version of strawberry shortcake.

    This is nice bottle of wine and for $20 at Trader Joe's, can't go wrong. The nosed was a little muted after 3 hour decant/vinturi but there are whiffes of strawberry jam. Lightly colored even for a pinot. Plate had a nice crisp finish with good structure. Don't know what the drinking window should but this will cellar for quite a while.
