great chardonnay! chalk, oak/toast/vanilla, and a wonderful lemon oil note that separates great chardonnays on my palate. really nice long finish with just a minor touch of heat.
nose of pine and coffee. palate shows red cherry. med(+) tannin. med finish is a bit sour.
black fruit and licorice, med(-) tannin. sharp acidity. med(-) finish
cab franc shows through, with green bell pepper. spice and tobacco also there. surprisingly youthful, with a pleasant medium finish.
leather, cedar, and eucalyptus with a nice aged bdx mint note that i enjoyed. med(+) finish.
raspberry jam. somewhat simple. med(-) tannin, med finish
I didn't like this bottle... blueberry jam and chocolate. drying tannins, although I am still skeptical of the aging potential here
bright cherry and raspberry fruit. surprisingly youthful. med(-) tannin, medium finish
interesting wine... fruit, but with a caramel reductive note on the nose quite prominently. med(-) finish.
black fruit, black pepper, tar, licorice, spice -- a lot going on and simple at the same time. med(-) finish.
honey, peach, and apricot, with a medium(+) finish. nice acidity balances out the sugar perfectly. lovely, as always.
