The warm dry climate of the southern part of the Rhône valley produces some of the most attractive wines of France. The line-up for this tasting will include a rare white Lirac from Domaine de la Mordorée, a top of the range Tavel, an elegant Vacqueras from Domaine des Amouriers, a powerful Gigondas from Domaine de la Bouissière and wines from two of Châteauneuf du Pape's finest producers, Clos des Papes and Château de Beaucastel.

France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Soft lemon yellow. Clear & Bright. Lots of minerality, quite sharp fruit - apricots, pear drops, some white pepper. Could smell the alcohol. Rich dry start but a thin middle palate with a long finish, quite hot.
