Introduction

Got together with Texas Wine Geek and Jar1 at Lucio's BYOB in Houston. It was a great place to have an offline, the service was wonderful we never felt ignored or rushed and the company of two great CTers was the best part.

  • 2003 Domaine du Pégau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée 95 Points

    France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Far different that the last bottle I tried. Funky nose of leather, soy, black raspberry, red cherry, smoked meats, sage, lavender. On the palate, red and black raspberry, anise, leather, red cherries. Finishes with smooth, sweet tannins, and integrated upliftying acidity. This put on considerable weight after it got some air. Drink with a decant or continue to hold. Oustanding to classic. Great value.
