Gorgeous ripe nose. Light ruby red coloring. 14.1% alcohol. Cranberry, light cherry. Touch of blood orange. Floral components show nice rose petals and a touch of enjoyable heat.
More aromatics of butterscotch and caramel, soy sauce and cabbage stew There is a feminine palate with some nice grip and tannin structure.
Young good tannins, acidity and balance.
Not heat on the finish. This is a Pinot made to age believe it or not.

This wine was frigging great. In fact, I called this was an '07 Sojourn before it was revealed - I SWEAR! Oh, and it was the Wine of the Night as well.
Super fragrant funk. Shroomy, earthy. Some savory aromatics I loved. Touch of rich meaty molasses. Dark essence. Licorice, smoke.
So much earth, but it's the caramel sweetness that gave away its identity for me.
Really great focus and New World Pinot yumminess. A little bit of baked good mouth feel. Cobbler, cotton candy.
Fantastic finish. Similar notes to previous bottle. One of my favorite Pinots from undoubtedly one of my favorite PN producer in the New World.

A little darker in color. Touch of burnt orange on the nose. More ruby color than the rest.
Rhubarb, cinnamon spice, curry spice, darker fresh cotton clothing.
Spicier and a little sulfuric toned in the nose. Great acidity. Big wine. Tough, leather, horse saddle. Dusty.
Heady. Really ripe. Juicy, jammy. Brown sugar. Can't believe I rated this an 88 last time around. Hmmm.....

Pungent nose. A little spicy cherry. Lots of spice in fact. Some heat on the nose. Ripe candied fruit. Strawberries, creamy unctuous palate. Really rich and structured. Nice backbone. Dark robust coffee spice. nice finish. Weighty mouth feel. Meaty play. Velvety and rich in style.

More purple color than the rest. Candy cane nose, cinnamon, and Red Hots (the candy). Little cured meaty savory play. Deli meat.
Not too smoky though. Totally cinnamon dominated - can't get that out of my head. Touches of burnt tire as well.
The palate is rich and weighty. Darker fruit. Less meaty.
Still so much cinnamon and all spice. Anise, and still that burnt rubber. Solid and unique terroir driven bottling. A great grab at forty bones.

Uber funky pungent nose. Lots of rich shroomy moss and sulfur.
Fruity candied watermelon. A little mustard seed. Really fresh and lively. Great all around wine.
A little tart play that I enjoy. Good back end. Younger for sure. Drinking well now with a solid decant though.
Cool climate styling. Great wine.

A little more pedestrian nose than some other bottlings, though this had a certain sense of place that grew on me by the end of the tasting.
Still some plush rich cherries. A little crayon quality. Rocky gravel. Quite nice but not enthralling.
Saline, ocean breeze, definitely unfiltered and unfined. Feminine. Great mouth feel. Menthol. A touch of green. Cranberry fruit.

Spice driven nose. Some serious heat as well. Spicy raspberries. Black pepper. Not my favorite aromatically.
Some smoke in the back ground. The palate is a little thin actually. Subtle fruit.
Lighter and less pronounced than I'd expect from this single vineyard.
Good wine but less balanced on the finish and it showed a serious dose of alcoholic heat.
Green olives. Eh.

Rich creamy oaky nose. Sporting lots of vanilla and milk chocolate with a nice funky barnyard play coupled with fresh red clay.
Ripe floral fruit, bubble gum and a bit of enjoyable heat.
Darkest of the Pinots tasted but still came across as elegant and supple. Very nice. Cool red pepper vegetal note on the back end.
A sure winner for anyone into culty New World Pinot.

Surprised how much I enjoyed this cheaper priced bottling tasted at the event. Really subtle nose. Rocky, minerals. Fresh sea breeze and a light saline aroma.
Rhubarb, white and pink peppercorns. Elegant, less ripe more stewed fruit. Light cinnamon spice, with a touch of rusty nail.
Good acidity. Dark red berries. I could tell this was a less extracted wine, but I appreciated the gentle touch of a bit of everything.

Petrol, pear, light nuts and caramel. Fresh rubber. Palate is clean and has a touch of sweetness.

Steely, acidic. Green fruit. Rocky, minerals. Everyone thought this was a SB. Nice finish and for the price this is a steal.
Green pineapple and a touch of yellow flowers on the back end. Really mineral driven though.
