    dark red-black color
    typical Northern-Rhone Syrah aroma
    smooth, round, full-body, rich, develops nicely in the glass, harmonious & enjoyable.

  • 2008 Recanati Special Reserve 91 Points

    dark red-purple color
    intense black fruits aroma, jam, eucalyptus, bubble-gum
    high acidity, full-body, crispy tannin at first, sweet-bitterness, candy & bitter chocolate flavors, medium harmony, sweet & long after-taste.
    I was quite confident it was made by Ido Lewinsohn's - which it was.

    light yellow color
    buttery Chardonnay aroma with some minerality, bitterness and tropical fruits smells.
    high acidity, full-body, oaky & herbal flavors, bitterness, med-high tannin, balanced and fruity after-taste.
    identified as Chablis.

    almost transparent color
    (surprisingly, not so pleasant) pastrami & Jasmine aromas
    high acidity, full-body, medium harmony, bitterness & tannin;
    herbal & sour fruity flavors, bitter-sweet fruity after-taste.

    light red-brown color with brown rim
    animal. leather, bret, wet earth, dust & moss aroma
    high acidity, medium-body, bitter, tannic, dry wood, no fruits at all, no harmony, short after-taste - seems a much older than actual age. Surely over the peak.

Closing

many wines are a real surprise, some for good - some not. Overall enjoyment level is great.
