Golden, darkest of the flight, clearly the '83. Really pretty nose of orange, honey and a touch of caramel. Light bodied with low acidity initially that picked up a little with time in the glass. No fruit left, but interesting oxidative flavors of nuts, nut butter and furniture wax. Very interesting but disappointing. Score might be generous for my palate, but the nose was lovely (my 5th, group's 6th - 3 first place votes, 1 last).

Light yellow. Popcorn on the nose to start, which blew off, leaving not much else, maybe a squeeze of lemon. Light to medium bodied with medium acidity. Lime, seashells, a bit of honey and nut butter. Interesting, balanced, complex palate. Very nice. (my 3rd, group's 4th)

Yellow. Intriguing nose of lemon custard and sharp cheese. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Rich palate of lemon, custard and lemon pith. Interesting, but again, disappointing when unveiled. Others liked it much more than I. (my 7th, group's 2nd - 4 1st place votes, 2 lasts)

Yellow. Lightly corked on the nose. Seems like there's a lovely wine underneath, with medium+ acidity, but I can't get past the TCA and neither could most others. Still, a few people thought it was "moldy" rather than corked and it received 2 second place votes and 1 third! (my 8th, group's 8th)

Light yellow, slight green tinge. Bright nose of lime, lemon and lime blossom. Light to medium bodied with medium acidity. Lime, lime zest and chalky minerality. Very nice. (my 4th, group's 1st - 3 1st place votes)

Yellow. Apple and lemon on the nose, cidery notes that had me wondering about premox. Light bodied with low to medium acidity. Apple and honey on the palate, a bit round without the cut I look for in Chablis. Very surprised when the vintage was revealed. (my 6th, group's 7th)

Light yellow. Deep and interesting nose of honeydew and lemon custard. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Rich palate with lemon custard and great minerality. Balance and depth. Loved this, far and away my WOTN. (my 1st, group's 3rd - 3 1st place votes, 2 lasts).
