Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL
Tasted Friday, September 29, 2006 by Burgundy Al with 579 views
Our Chicago burgundy-focused tasting group, the Lieu-dit Cru, went up to Northbrook to have dinner with Marc Dupin, Jadot's global sales director. A great opportunity to open some older bottles of Jadot from our respective cellars.
2000 Louis Jadot Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot 95 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Rich, lush stone fruit on nose with impressive complementary spice. Fruit and spice continue from nose on to palate with sharp minerality and acidity helping with length and textures toward long finish.

2000 Louis Jadot Montrachet 94 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru
Lean fruit on nose with good floral component and good citrus aromas. Very elegant from start-to-finish with lemon, lemon peel supported by great minerality. While today I preferred the Jadot 2000 Chevalier-Montrachet les Demoiselles tasted alongside, this Montrachet might have greater long-term potential.
