From magnum. You must be kidding - someone put fudge into my wine! Very good nose, lovely intensity, perfumed, minerality, fruit, prominent oak; on the palate it is smooth and creamy, with a hint of minerality and good freshness; the finish however is all caramel and oak. A very good wine (92 point potential) severely let down by its makers.
From magnum. A bit obvious, sweet fruit, vanilla from the oak, nice smoky minerality and freshness, good length, hint of tannin, a bit hard on the finish.
From magnum. 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc. So young, but a sensational wine. A profound wine, rich but with soaring minerality, eucalyptus, sweet blackcurrants, perfectly absorbed oak, spices; on the palate rich and velvety, beautifully extracted, great power and balance, excellent tannins, ditto length. All that is missing to me is a sense of place, but I do have to admit my experience with top Californian wines is limited.
Off-dry, apples, like fresh apple juice but with the stems and the pips. Like a not-so-very-good Eiswein. What's the point? Not sweet enough for dessert anyway.
