    Degorged at 08-Sept-2010. Opened for 30mins and drank for 3hrs. Light golden. This bottle was more expressive than the last. Complex aromas continuously emerging in the glass: brown sugar, sugar cane, almond, hazelnut and sweet herbs intermixed with intense note of honey lemon, melon and peaches. There is this adorable lily and yellow flowers fragrance too. Medium bodied. Outstanding vibrancy over the sweet honey coated mouth feel. Seductive and elegant with the soft sweetness and yellow fruits as well as lovely inner perfume of sweet yellow floral scents and lily. Excellent persistent, long finish. A wine with impeccable balance, freshness and class. 93-94

  • 1992 Remoissenet Père et Fils Le Montrachet 93 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru

    Alcohol :: 13.5%
    Opened for 30mins and drank for 3hrs. It was shy at first and takes awhile to show. Not as high tone and complex as the last bottle, but it is equally intense with great freshness: almond nut, pepper, dried ginger, honey, mineral, lemon, and a bed of white and yellow floral, simply lovely and seductive. This medium bodied Monty is soft at entry and gains more intensity when it flowed onto the palate. Once again, this wine is all about the harmony, precision and focus. It is so yummy with the lightly buttery and super velvety mouth feel, layer of complexity and mineral freshness. Finished with good grip and transparency that lingering with grounded coffee bean and almond, hazelnut aftertaste. 3.5hrs later, it turned more opulent in the glass with super complex nuttiness as well as great citrusy backbone, incredible mouth feel and length with intriguing inner perfume. Nothing to nail if only the nose is as good as the last bottle.

  • 1997 Domaine Jacques Prieur Chambertin 91 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin Grand Cru

    Alcohol :: 13%
    12hrs SO without cork. Medium garnet core with light hue. Freah mint and grass intermixed with dried longan and red cherry sweetness. There is this additional layer of peppery spiciness at the background, with lavender and violet like floral scents simply make the bouquet super and breathtaking. Light - Medium bodied. The palate is well delineated, precise and refreshing still, good sense of elegance and mineral. It has a gentle grip of spiciness and herbs, as well as inner perfume of dark floral bring out the complexity though not really good in depth, but the friendliness and approachable is really good. With time, the dried longan note changed to haw flakes with intense minerality which leads to really intense, juicy finished. Drinking really well now.
