Tasted blind. Fleshy, with green apple and citrus fruit, and a refreshing, medium length finish. Much better when retasted later in the evening. Nice. My #3, Group NR WOTN.
Tasted blind. Round, lush, and creamy, with spicy pear and tropical fruit. Finishes with good acidity and abundant minerality. Very nice. My NR, Group #1 WOTN.
Tasted blind. A lighter style, with citrus pith and stony/slate flavors, with an herbaceous, jalapeno note on the finish. This lacked the depth and richness of flavor as some of the better wines in the flight.
Tasted blind. Round, soft, and lush, with pear and citrus notes; and a spicy, herbaceous finish. This really could use some more lift, as such, it came off a bit dull.
Tasted blind. Slightly effervescent upon opening. Very bright, featuring grapefruit and green apple notes, with an underlying herbaceousness; leading to a brisk, peppery, slate-and-mineral driven finish. Love the intensity here. Good balance. Very nice. My #2, Group #3 WOTN.
Tasted blind. Bright and sunny, with green apple and citrus notes, and a pleasant, tomato-leaf herbaceousness on the finish. Vibrant, with great cut. Tasty. More focus on fruit, and less savory than the Kamptaler Terrassen.
Tasted blind. Washed out, with little intensity to the citrus - grapefruit and lime - flavors; and a savory, stony finish. A real departure from the baseline quality of the other wines in the flight. Meh.
Tasted blind. Biggest wine of the flight, with great richness and viscosity, while retaining ample acidity for freshness. Fleshy green apple and citrus flavors, with a white pepper-and-minerality driven finish. Love the weight and texture here. My #1, Group #2 WOTN.
Tasted blind. Dull, washed out flavors of watermelon rind and grapefruit carried by a creamy texture and not much on the finish. Needs acidity. Tired. Paled in comparison to the other wines in the flight. Disappointing.
Tasted blind. Effervescent and sweet, simple yet quaffable. Little varietal character, but tasty nonetheless. A real outlier vis a vis the more serious wines in the flight. This is refreshing, and would work well on a hot summer's day.
