    - Yellow gold color with slow forming legs. It's in total harmony with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Mark's wine(me). Everyone took it for a Burgundy, probably due to the contrast with the Pezzi King. Oak was not prevalent.

  • 2000 La Spinetta (Rivetti) Monferrato Pin 91 Points

    Italy, Piedmont, Monferrato

    (1/9/2013)

    - Crimsom color with medium forming legs. It's balanced with a medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Bob's wine. I identified the Piedmont Barolo component. This was one of the last vintages in which Giorgio(RIVETTI) included Cabarnet Sauvignon. He told me 7 or 8 years ago he was only going to use native indigenous grapes. I liked the ones with Cab Sauvignon, but recent vintages have been quite good. Alta in Lenox, MA has current vintages on the list, and I often select it.
