Flight 1 (2 Notes)

  • NV Henriot Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut 91 Points

    France, Champagne

Intense, bright yellow colour. Has a considerable weight of ripe fruit, crisp acidity, lovely mineral energy, real depth of flavour with a hint of spice. Harmonious, with good length. Just lacks a little complexity or definition for a higher score.

  • 2007 Domaine Aleth Girardin Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Mouches 90 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

Immediately attractive, fresh nose of flowers, spice, minerals and red and black fruits; on the palate all about elegance, minerality and freshness, light weight, has bright acidity and good grip bur also a slightly drying quality and a hint of stalkiness, flavours of flowers and red berries; excellent length.
