Single blind. Mid straw. Quite honied and more minerally than its pair. Quite intense. Ripe but dry. Long. Lots here but needs time. ***(*)

Single blind. Mid straw,a little less honied. Quite minerally, rounded, quite ripe but dry. A little rounder and less focused but easier jow. ***1/2

Blind. Mature claret. A touch of tobacco. Mid to early 70s Graves? No, but not sure what. After a while 78 starts to show itself with. Freshness tinged with green. Some meat and spice. Mellow and satisfying and refreshing. ****

Blind. Quite lush on the nose with creamy vanilla and coconut. Modern Rioja? Actually, the colour is no more than full to mid garnet with good acidity on the attack. A younger trad Rioja. Dark red fruit and fireside spice. Long and comforting. Just drinking, bu years ahead of this.impressive and hugely enjoyable. Fresh and vibrant. Top ****

Blind. Spicy, red fruited, slightly tobacco nose that reminds me of 01DDC. Hugely fat and seemingly alcoholic in the glass though. Quite a lot up front but drying a little through the finish. Impressive for the vintage and I can see why this first attracted RP to the estate. ****

Blind. Quite cloudy. Sweet fruit and acid led. Late 70s Burgundy? Oops! 61 comes through in the sweetness of fruit - goes through a phase of being really sweet before starting to get a little more compact. Very impressive for what it is. ***1/2

Blind. Younger. Mid ruby. Guess 95 left bank but out on both. Still quite nicely structured. Quite savoury with fleshy fruit covering it. Medium length. ***1/2 possibly some upside.

A touch more garnet than the Chenade alongside. Some VA on the nose initially though this seems to blow off. Similar on the palate with a soft sweetness. Mid ruby. Sweet fruit with a classical edge. Guess 85 St Julien and then revise vintage to 89 and 96. At least a guess of Ducru is correct. This is very mellow and sweet-fruited and pretty much ready. Lovely. ****

Blind but an easy guess. Gorgeous nose. Rich caramel, a sense of sweetness on the top notes coupled with a more mellow, nutty bottom note. Huge thwack of acidity on the attack and through the finish though. Really painfully intense. More acidity than I remembered here. Beautiful colour, golden copper with green tinged. Impressive but at this stage of the evening I'd rather sniff than sip. ****

Blind. half. Deep amber. Lovely nose, mellow orange, floral, very pretty. Soft and lacking acidity on the palate. Has aged well but a bit too relaxed now. ***

Blind. Fresh, a touch of struck match. Lifts to show quite a mineral wine with a slightly floral, acacia note. Grippy, very fine minerality on the palate with good focus. ?Cramant and Lilbert? Yes, the NV. ****
