Concentrated citrus, biscut, and yeast. Rich, yet soft and creamy on the palate, showing nice citrus fruit and bread notes. Good length on the finish, and lots of acid. 60% Chardonnay / 40% Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier
Very pretty nose that is intensely floral and fruity. Starts off with nice citrus and floral flavors, then shows off a mineral backbone and bright acidity. Medium plus length on the finish. 60% Semillon / 40% Sauvignon Blanc
Powerful, fruit-filled nose dominated by black cherries. Full bodied, yet very soft and supple, loaded with red plum and more cherries. Very fine tannins on the finish. Simple, yet elegant, and a seemingly great QPR. 70% Merlot / 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
Darker, tighter, and more subtle than the general Bordeaux Controlee bottling. Dark, brooding body dominated by earth, tobacco, and eucalyptus, with noticeably more tannin and acid. Drying tannins on the finish.
Notes of toast, vanilla, spice, and dark fruit. Full bodied, yet quite light on its feet. Dark raspberries, cherry, and plum emerge on the soft and elegant body. Polished, fine tannins finish it off. A nice effort, and one likely to continue to evolve and improve with some time.
Dark plum, violet, earth, and spice on the nose. It's a bit high toned, but full bodied with dark fruits and tobacco. Drying, prominent tannins, and lots of acid. You can definitely taste the presence of the oak here. A good step up from the Grande Reserve.
Ripe blueberries -- big, powerful fruit. Full bodied, juicy, and overflowing with fruit. Finishes with fine tannins, acid, and length, though the acid seems a bit out of balance.
Noticeable oak and spice to start. Lots of blueberry and black cherry flavors. Soft and elegant, this is a wine that craves food. Very acid driven, it finishes with fine tannins.
Intensely purple-black in the glass, this wine is dark. The oak and wood spice dominate, with a touch of astringency. Juicy fruit, and some green stem notes, though I found it a bit limp on the palate. Drying tannins.
Honey, apricot, and flowers. Medium+ weight, with honey, passion fruit and pineapple. Good sweetness, but not cloying due to the nicely balanced acidity.
