A shade lighter than the Graillot. Green olive nose. Medium to lighter weight. Dry, astringent, gritty feel. The only good news is that it is cleaner and less weird than other wines I've had from this producer, but I just don't like this.
Medium ruby. High tone florality and some herbs. Closed now with tight black fruit but already some signs of complexity. Best now for its smooth, elegant feel. Really good.
Inky purple. Floral aromatics. Only medium weight. Bright, vivacious fruit with crisp acidity and long tannic grip. Extremely classy Syrah that needs a decade. Incredibly pure and refined for Cornas.
2010 Pierre Gonon St. Joseph Blanc Les Oliviers

Light yellow. Floral. Lush feel with tropical fruit and oak, vanilla. Good earthy finish. Better than earlier this year.

2010 J.L. Chave Sélection St. Joseph Offerus

Medium ruby. Fragrant and complex. Soft entry with some red fruit, but graphite and buried structure assert themselves at the end.
