Intense aromatics - lemon, floral, herb and orange peel. Nicely dry and refreshingly crisph. Good balance and has fine texture as well.

Bottle open too long - slightly oxed.

Second bottle much better. Floral, lime and musk. Has an off-dry character to the palate, acidity is quite bright with good length.

Lemon, lime leaf, graphite and light florals. Nice acidity, has some power behind the fruit and good length.

Good intensity with oats and lemon. Nice acidity and plenty of fruit intensity. Starting to develop but plenty of time on its side.

Cherry, strawberry compote, cranberry and some very light stalk. Nice balance, drinks very nicely. Some more depth would be great but this is enjoyable.

Fairly floss and strawberry. Bright palate, medium length - there is little depth but it is quite tasty.

Less obvious than the 2012 entry level Shiraz. Oak, licorice and earth with a little stalk. Nice texture and depth with savoury influence evident. Well balanced palate - give it some time.

Some carbonic character, redcurrant, cranberry and cherry. Medium bodied - fruit forward, good freshness.

Grape and herb with some mandarin. Sweet with a tiny bit of spritz, no complexity at all.

Still youthful, some spice, lemon and florals. Medium bodied, had the feeling of starting to round out very slightly. Not that deep but good value and should continue to develop.

Nice aromatics - cherry and raspberry, some heady violet perfume and red licorice. Fresh and quite bright palate, with plenty of that red fruit character, with the acidity nicely complimenting the fruit. Good length.

2013 Mount Pleasant Wines Sémillon B-Side - LS8 89 Points

Lemon pie, light herb, some florals. Shows a bit more sweetness than the off-dry description would indicate, it has quite a bit of roundness but some freshness compliments it well. Early drinking probably.

Blackberry and some spice and earth. Light palate, delicate but I wish there was a little bit of depth to it. May just be awkward at the moment.
