Flight 1 (20 Notes)

  • 2011 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru

    (5/5/2014)

Winery visit- freshly opened bottle. Aromas of anise, fennel, sagebrush and raspberry. Rich black raspberry and cherry really come alive on the palate with layers of dried herb and spice. Silky, with beautiful finesse, long fine tannins and fresh acidity. Lengthy finish. Lots of complexity, very dense at the moment, would have loved to come back to this after a few hours or a long decant.
