Super dense with lots of pineapple and lychee. Tons of viscosity on the palate with a really nice acidic spine. Only had a small sip, but this was impressive.
Rich, powerful, and streamlined. Great combination of lychee, petrichor, peach, and pears. Palate was ripe, for sure, but had nice balance and charm. Didn't get to try much, but liked it a lot.
Tons of peach, lychee, stone fruit, and pears. Beautiful layers of tropical fruit, some petrol and white floral notes. This is a great wine, that I wish I owned more of.
You can still taste/feel the oak used here. With 20 years, however, it has seemed to have integrated nicely. Definitely a rich, 20-year old Cote Rote, but it's got really good bones. There's some meat, but this is more floral and dark fruit. Pretty nice wine.
Nose of smoked nuts, some gasoline, lychee, vanilla, and white florals. The palate was soft and pure. Lots of orchard fruit, some apricot, more lychee, and peach. Acidity is smooth at this point. Very nice wine!
Interesting nose with hints of tar, and a good dose of apricot, petrichor, and pineapple. The palate is gorgeous. Crisp, clean, and pure this is all about the pineapples, mangos, and peaches. Just bursting with tropical fruits. Smooth as silk and tastes delicious.
Tasted double-blind. Guessed a 2000 Chave, so had to pat myself on the back for that. Had the classic gamey, rich nose from Chave with some darker, earthy notes mixed in too. Palate was in a good place already with brambly, dark fruit, some meat, some earth and florals. Classic Chave.
Wow. I probably liked this more than I should have. The nose bursts with crisp peach, pear, and petrichor tones. The palate featured fruits that seemed co-fermented with stones. Tones of minerality, lots of peach, and mangos. Amazing acidity that gave this a very refreshing feel. I'm a big fan.
Loved the nose. Some dark fruit, dark florals, and earth. Bristles with acidity, this needed air to flesh out. With some time, I thought this showed nicely. Dark fruits, and earth were the real story here...some tar notes too.

Oaky nose, some white floral notes and lots of flint. Very oaky and toasty on the palate with pears, fresh floral notes and flint. This is tasty, but the oak was distracting for me.

Some almond skin, pears, white florals, flint, and vanilla. Good acidity gives it a nice razor sharp edge.
