Tasted blind.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of vanilla, toasted oak, dark cherry, redcurrant, strawberry. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium+ body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of milky vanilla oak, dark cherry, redcurrant, strawberry, and spice. Medium+ finish.
Quite clearly a young Ribera with good intensity. Oak still dominant, not integrated yet.
Very good quality. Can drink now, and will improve with further ageing, maybe another 4-5 years for the oak to integrate.

Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of soy sauce, smoke, vanilla oak, sweet spice/cinnamon, and black fruits. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium acidity, high alcohol, medium tannins, full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of smoke, vanilla oak, sweet baking spices, cinnamon, blackberries, dark plums. Dense and concentrated. Medium+ finish.
Very good quality. A truly enjoyable Portuguese Red. Can drink now, and suitable to keep for another 2-3 years. Don't wait too long as I am afraid the acidity will go down and it will go the way of flabbiness.
Blend of Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga France, Touriga Nacional.

My first time trying a Madeira.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, amber tea-colour. Legs.
Aromas of caramel, raisins, toffee, and Christmas cake.
Very balanced on the palate, with a better mouth-feel than Tawny Port. Rich flavours of smoked almond nuts, caramel, raisins, toffee, and Christmas cake.

Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of white flowers, lychee, gingery spice, honey, peach. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium+ alcohol, medium- body. Medium- flavour intensity, with flavours of lychee, gingery spice, peach. Medium- finish.
Nose is nice. However, acidity lacking, and alcohol seemingly overwhelming the fruit on the lackluster palate.
Acceptable quality. Drink now, not suitable for further ageing.
My first time trying Torrontés. I thought this had some similarities to Gewurztraminer.
