  • 2010 Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune 1er Cru Beaune du Château Blanc 87 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

    The wine is a blend of 5 plots

    Clean in the nose, dense, not delicate with awkard green notes, hazelnut scented butter, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium body and acidity, ripe fruit, medium weight in the palate, crunchy and I could say almost tannic, med aftertaste.
    Very good quality although somewhat disjointed, premium price, needs a bit time but I think it will come around

  • 2012 Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 86 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault

    Clean but light in terms of intensity in the nose almost featherweight, youthful. The wine is dry, light in body and intensity as well, med alcohol and acidity, a few notes of citrus and almond/walnut here and there with a short finish.
    Very good quality, premium price, drink now.

    nothing wrong with it, nothing good about it too, uninspiring wine for a Meursault lover

  • 2012 Bouchard Père et Fils Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chalumeaux 92 Points

    The nose is clean, rich without being overpowering or heavy, nutty and buttery, with ripe peach and apricot, youthful
    The wine is dry, med+/full body, med+ intensity and acidity, medium alcohol, well concentrated, oaky notes, feels nervous and not quite settled, it will need 2-3 years to come around, med finish.
    Outstanding quality, premium price, one could claim to be a shame to drink now maybe hold for 10-15 years. A great effort

    The nose is clean, discreet character of medium intensity, mineral driver, nutty and fruity, with a light touch of the barrel, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium acidity and alcohol, light nutty notes, more oaky character, a spoonfull of butter too, showing freshness, medium aftertaste.
    Very good
    quality, premium price, a bit fresh but could be enjoyed now

  • 2013 Coopers Creek Sauvignon Blanc Dillons Point 88 Points

    New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough

    The nose is clean showing med+ intensity with a clear NZ varietal character, high notes of asparagus, green fruit and bell pepper, light flinty/smoke notes as well, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, same flavor profile as the nose, med/med+ acidity and med alcohol, showing nice concentration, with med finish.
    Very good quality, highp price, drink now can hold 3-5 years

  • 2012 Bouchard Père et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 89 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet

    Clean nose, light to medium intensity (but the wine was a bit too cold), nutty with walnut and roasted almond, buttery with ripe peach as well, youthul.
    The wine is dry, with medium body and intenity, medium+ acidity and medium alcohol, balanced even though the acidity gets all the more apparent with time, flvaros copying the nose, showing nerve, med/med+ finish.
    Very good quality, premium price, drinking already will hold.

    Very good wine as expected with such a pedigree but missing heart...

  • 2011 J. Moreau & Fils Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 89 Points

    The nose is clean, high intensity with full buttery nose, ripe white fruits, flinty as well, almond and walnut, light lemon notes, full oaky character and overall still youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium+ body and intensity, med+ acidity and medium alcohol, more shy in the palate, lemon scented butter, ripe fruit, not quite balanced as it feels a bit jointed, med+ finish.
    Very good quality, premium price, drinking now despite its youth, it needs time though to come together

    The nose is clear, medium intensity, light green notes, small white fleshed fruits, an overall ripe character, quite charming, youthful as hell!!!
    The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, green but also ripe fruit pear and apple, med weight, high acidity, still too young, well concentrated, med finish.
    Very good quality and interesting wine, high price, drinkable despite its youth, it will be interesting to see this with a couple of years on its back

    The wine has a clean nose with medium intensity, a very welcoming and fruity flowery character, fresh with apple and pear, youthful.
    The wine is dry, med-/med body, med intensity, med acidity, a bit more green in the mouth, somehow astringent perhaps not quite settled, better with food that on its own by the glass at this point, med finish.
    Very good quality, high/premium premium, will hold 2-3 years

    This is a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Ribola and Malvasia.

    The nose is clean, medim intensity, citrus notes with light asparagus, bell pepper, a few spicy notes sprinkled here and there as well, youthful.
    The wine is dry(-ish?), medium body and intensity, medium acidity and alcohol, palate filled with ripe fruits of the same character as the nose, a rather intellectual wine and character, still fresh though, med finish.
    Very good quality, premium price, drinking now can hold.

    A wine very well made, a pleasure to drink on its own or with food

    The nose is clean, med+ intensity, notes of tropical fruits like pineapple, some herbal notes too, pleasantly fresh, lemon leaves and hidden flinty-ness underneath, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, med/med+ acidity, a rather green profile, citrus fruits, refreshing acidity, pineapple and peach, green notes of pear and underripe banana, medium aftertaste.
    Very good quality offering a different version of the quality, medium price, drink now but it could hold. A wine for food

    The wine shows a clear deep purple color.
    The nose is clean, med/med+ intensity, quite fruity, toast and nutmeg, plum, ripe strawberry, notes of pepper, youthful.
    The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium alcohol (14%), medium acidity, tight tannins, black fruit, plum, ripe black cherries, cinnamon, a bit thin in the midpalate, red currant in the medium finish.
    Very good quality, medium/high price, drinking well now but will hold 3-5 years.
