Milk and green apple on the nose. Quite full bodied, you can feel PN here. Didn't have enough precision or charm, just good.

Smells of food and smoke, very few fruits, cold lemonde. Cold black cherries on the finish. Nothing special.

Disgorged on 13.11.2014. No malolactic.
Very precise and well balance. No yeasty notes, a tiny bit of oak, round. Class evident, subtle and calm in style. Too young right now, give it several years in the cellar.

Bubbles disappeared quite soon. Broad, but not overly so, typical PN character. Milky, soft, tender, like a round, soflty oaky, bubbly Chablis.

Abundant freshness here, precise and with a sweet syrupy note on the nose.

Out of a Jeroboam. Mature, darker colour. Pronounced menthol and peppermint, this is a serious wine, not a simple bubbly.

Colour of a mature Champagne, but there's still quite a lot of bubbles. Very intense nose of salty butter, quince, some nuttiness, milk toffee, spices, may be some curry. Long and lively on the palate, multifaceted. Great development.

From magnum, disgorged March 2014. Similar colour as Lanson '88 we had before, but it was overall noticeably younger and fresher. Large share of PN makes it a serious food wine, med+ complexity, honey, lots of brioche, developps sweet aromas on the nose.

Very fruity, typical red apple of PN, anise candy. Steely on the palate. Requires time to open up in the glass, excellent development. Becomes even more fruity and sweet.

Lovely brioche with a quince/lemon jam.
Reticent nose of vanilla, herbs and oaky creaminess, oaky, clean, spicy finish.

Flowery, aromatic. Lots of caramel, bubbly fino jerez, lovely oxidative notes, bold on the palate.

Brut 0, base 2011, disgorged 2014, 2y on lees.
Meat, meat jelly, pickled patty pan squash, seems like low accidity. Very soft, bubbles disappear soon in the mouth. Vegetables, squash. Peculiar, difficult to rate.

This was late in the evening and my palate was tired. Seemed of an oxidative style, but fresh and with a very good mouthfeel.

From a Jeroboam. Peppermint, uber intense and serious. Good sweet and sour oaky taste and bouquet.

Extremely soft for a Champagne, tangerines, classy.

Excellent, mature, nutty Champagne. End of the evening, limited notes.

Beautiful clear colour. Lots of meat and dried sausage on the note and palate, light body, low alcohol, lively as usual.

This is not a typical rose, more like a red wine with bubbles. Vinuous and quite fresh due to the bubbles, lots of red fruits, dried cherries, tart dried berries. A very interesting experience.

NV Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Cuvée No. 737 88 Points
France, Champagne
First bottle seemed flawed: Quite fat, exotic fruits, burnt brioche on the nose. Medium accidity, exotic fruits, tart finish.
Second bottle much fresher, light, pleasant creamy vanilla.

Precise like a cold steel, very clean and well balanced. Young at this moment, will surely evolve.

Intense nose, lots of brioche. Lower accidity, savoury, vinuous, salty on the palate, feels dense. Excellent mouthfeel, pleasant creaminess.
