Bright light yellow; creamy nose, lemon, fresh, fuller, vanilla from good French oak, nutty, some butter; more medium bodied on the palate, lemon curd, well integrated vanilla, prickly acid too high for New World, fresher but good density, a little hazelnut, longer finish, smoky mineral; would like to see this with another year in bottle; very good.
Dark core with dull crimson rim, age; roasted red fruit, tobacco, leather, fennel, aged Italian, holding together well, roses, cedar; spicy, some grip, chocolate is strong, red cherry, a certain sharpness, tar, softer resolved tannin, hints at raisin; good.
Pretty darker ruby, see through; sweet juicy young Pinot fruit, watermelon, sour dark cherry and cranberry, Kool-Aid quality to the young and exuberant fruit but a dusty mineral component that keeps this serious, penetrating, love the pure fresh roses; good fat, Northern, Gevrey, penetrating on the palate, darker red cherry, focused, intense sweet fruit and floral character with some bitter mineral; delicious; really loved the quality for this level and the fact the producer's style was conveyed so well, swore this was Seuvrees.
Deep crimson, good clarity, paler orange hues in rim; roses, sweet sappy red cherry, sweet fennel, brown sugar, some rust, herbs, young, sandy, warm leather, sexy nose, nutty; fuller on the palate, soft caressing tannins, riper tart red fruit, anise, good weight, fatter-Barolo, polished, great balance; very easy to drink, delicious.
Black core with bright maroon rim; tar, plastic, green pepper, bramble, still some sulfur, tangy fruit; sweet fruit on the palate, very tart, some green, sour plum, almost grapey, super young and not expressing much; really fooled us, atypical based on others' notes.
