From a magnum. Lots and lots of oak and meat on the nose. Pronounced saltiness on the palate, very intense quince. Hint of smoked eel (!?) on the nose. In has a tremendous concentration and presence, but I would cellar it for at least a couple of years when it all blends togehter and integrates better.
Nose initially quite closed. A bit of typical fudge and dust. Intensity of taste was medium, I usually expect more from older Champagne. It opens up nicely with air, one must give it some 20-30 minutes in the glass. It will lose most of its remaining bubbles, but will gain in the bouquet.
Darker colour than the first time I had this. Nose of sweet tea, some burnt sugar, less mushrooms than previously, but there's rye bread, raisins, smoked meat and some medicine and herbs. Quite interesting to see its development over time.
40 months under veil. Punchy green apple on the nose, pickles. Soft on the palate, quite round, salty. Blindly I put it as Fino, knowing that it can also be Jura.
Quite open for a 890. Very clean, fine nose, hint of VA, dry sauna, some dried herbs. Tannins of the barrel, fine and quite silky on the palate. Classic and excellent.
Very intense barnyard nose with a certain level of fruits, with time develops note of dry green tea. Initially has a reductive element of nail varnish and onion. A bit lacking in accidity, has a tart side to it. The brett is quite intense here.
30+ y.o. bottle and probably 40+. As far as I remember this was very advanced. Still high punching accidity, as it should have, but all fruits that it ever had dissipated and it tasted too oxidised.

Bold, fat, intense fruity, vanilla and menthol nose. So lively and energetic. Just a WOW wine and a WOTN for me.
