Introduction

It was Mati's turn to host the group. First time that we're 9 persons, since Adina was added.
Although Yoram couldn't attend, but Maurice was invited.

    double decanting for sediments removal 2 hours prior to drinking
    dark opaque red-brown colour
    dark ripe fruits tertiary aroma with soft earthy-leathery-tobacco notes,
    medium-full bodied, soft silky integrated tannins, good acidity level, excellent structure & good complexity, fine fruity flavours, light spicy & tobacco flavours, velvety pleasant lingering finish.

    dark opaque red-purple
    top quality tertiary fruity aromas, with lingering quality leather & tobacco notes,
    full bodied, soft integrated round tannins, mature red and black fruits flavours, perfect balance of fruit, tannins structure & complexity, excellent by all measures. Long seductive aftertaste.
    An outstanding wine!

    double decanting 2 hours prior to consuming
    dark opaque red-purple with a bit of amber rim
    fine dark fruits tertiary aromas with earthy-leather notes
    medium-full bodied, soft integrated silky tannins, excellent balance & harmony, rich savory flavours, well structured, delicate complexity, still feels quite young and can age for another decade or so. Very long aftertaste.

    dark opaque red-purple
    lively intense dark fruits aroma with chocolate & earthy notes
    full bodied, good acidity level, well balanced and harmonised, black cherry, licorice and earthy flavours, soft and silky tannins, mature fruity feeling on the palate, well structured, good complexity, long fruity-chocolate aftertaste.

    P&P
    light golden colour
    elegant tropical fruits and honeysuckle nose, with subtle hints of spice, dried fruit and light smoke
    medium bodied, silky and seducing, tropical fruits (papaya, orange, apricot, lychee, apple, orange), honey, citrus, spice, light minerality, excellent structure, pleasant complexity, good acidity level, short-medium finish.
    Will age beautifully for 2-3 decades.

Closing

I collected the wines the evening before, double decanted and removed (very few) sediments 2 hours prior to the meeting time: all the 5 red were excellent!
The food was very good. I enjoyed my fillet steak, though some weren't pleased with their main course (fish).
The few desserts were excellent, especially the Valrhona 2-flavours warm chocolate balls.
We enjoyed the company as usual.
The intensive (good) food odours overshadowed the excellent wine bouquets & aromas - it was much better during decanting...
