Bottled thrown in the line up to see how many would guess it.
The color is med yellow, the nose is med to high intensity, fileld with oak derived aromas, buttery, butterscotch, walnut and almond, ripe peach and apricot, almost pineapple, the oak gets stronger with time. The wine is dry, full body and high intensity, medium but balancing acidity, a lot of oak in the palate, full nutty as well. There is a nice citrous nuance added by the acidity that copes well with the oak/vanilla sweetness, ripe mango and apricot, medium finish. Definately a wine for food Outstanding quality, always nice to drink this one, drink now but also keep
The nose is clean with med/med+ intensity, butterschotch and milky in general, nutty too with the fruit sitting in the back. With time it gets livelier but not that much, citrous overall. In the palate the wine is quite straightforward, citrous, nice acidity, linear and without great strength, an easy one to pick up blind, med finish. The wine feels linear and straightforward. Very good quality, drink now. I think I got a bit of an off bottle as I remember it slightly better.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet
The nose is clean, med intensity, the profile is more balanced wtih oak and fruit in equal proportions, although the oak is more plank-y and freels "drier", not much butter here and more citrous. In the palate the wine shows med body and med to high acidity and intensity, it certainly feels fresh, citrous and oaky with a long finish infused wtih lemon, almond and sweet spice nuances. Outstanding quality, drinking now but will hold. Probably better with food for now
The nose is low to medium intensity with a peculiar mixture of lemon (fruit and leaves), pineapple, it feels more linear and without great complexity. Its also aggressive and sulphury. In the palate the wine shows low to medium body and intensity, again sulphury with aggressive acidity, qutie harsh on the tongue, lacks complexity, underripe fruit, short finish. I have no idea what happened here, I remember this winery to be in much better form
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet
Medium intensity, quite evident oak and more upfront, the citrus fruit sits in the back, feels quite more shy too, ripe pineappple and mango seem to emerge with time. The wine show medium+ body, intensity and acidity, nice concentration, mainly oak derived flavors, nutty, pineapple, lime, balanced, medium to long finish. The palate is more fruit forward within the oak frame. Outstanding quality, drinking already but could also hold
The nose is a bit reductive with a handful of cabbage among lime, citrus, lemon leaves and chalk. Give it some time though and the reduction goes away. The wine is bone dry, med+ body and high intensity, the acidity is also high with citrous, lime and pineapple being the main flavors. There is also a green element that offers freshness, tea leaves infused long finish. Sadly, you need some effort to avoid the sulphur spikes as well. Definately a wine for food. Very good quality, decant if you want to drink it now, better to keep this one. A low rating for now
