Some minerals and apples in the bouquet. On the palate crispy and clean with some sour apple and some minerals again. Many of the group thought this was an excellent wine, and considering the price of around $10 it is. I would prefer a little more complexity, but it is really refreshing with a fairly long finish and very pleasurable.
A bouquet of flowers on the nose as well as candy acidity and even some cherries. The same on the palate, together with some pear and peach. Although there is some unpleasant bitterness in the finish, the aftertaste is very long and enjoyable. To drink young; the wine gives itself completely already.
Elegant bouquet with tangerine and candy flavors. On the palate the sweetness and acidity are very well balanced. There is tangerine and some pineapple. Clean wine with a long finish and a good qpr.
Honey and citrus in the bouquet. Lime and grapefruit on the palate. Minerals. Good balance between sweetness and acidity. Concentrated and elegant with a medium plus finish. Really nice wine with a good qpr.
Honey in the bouquet. On the palate ripe tropical fruits, citrus and flint stone. Pleasant bitterness in the finish. Good balance between sweetness and acidity in this full bodied, almost fat, dry wine. Really good.
In the bouquet weeds like the nettle fibre plant. Same on the palate. Tart citrus, also bananas. It was served quite cold and improved significantly when it became a little warmer. Certainly an excellent wine.
Some plum and almonds on the nose. On the palate strawberries, a little menthol, sweet licorice root, pleasant acidity and bitterness. Everything is soft and mild in this easy drinking wine.
A bit dusty bouquet with soft red forest fruits. A slightly sweet start, directly followed by completely dry impressions. Juicy dark fruits on the palate and a little licorice. Ok acidity. Elegant wine. Drink now and the next 2 - 3 years.
In the bouquet a pleasant bit of barnyard and autumn forest impressions. On the palate ripe red fruits, a bit of sweetness, ok acidity and soft bitterness. Very pleasant, juicy and tasteful, but lacks some complexity to give it a higher score. Ready now and the next 2 - 3 years or so.
Ripe red fruits, autumn forest, earthy and oak impressions in the bouquet. On the palate smoky, ripe forest fruits, earthy, mushrooms, some herbs and even a hint of eucalyptus. The most complex and complete Spätburgunder I tasted from Kesseler. Unfortunately the qpr is not that good.
