We all had to bring one or two wines of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought. All wines were poured fully blind, also not knowing when your own wine was poured.
Candy in the bouquet. Apples, fennel, licorice and some creaminess as well. On the palate a lot of apples, and pears (but not really fresh pears), minerals, mild acidity and quite much grapefruit bitterness in the finish.
In the bouquet muscatel, pear, pineapple, banana and candy flavors. On the palate a lot of sweet banana candy, apples and some drying chalky minerality.
This wine is a blend of the rare grapes Zierfandler and Rotgipfler. In the bouquet green apples and some pineapple. On the palate a bit fat, some yellow fruits like pineapple, ok acidity and grapefruit acidity and bitterness. Has length. Correct wine although I am not a great fan.
In the bouquet apple, melon and mint. On the palate limestone minerals, grapefruits, good acidity and some oak bitters in the finish. Ok nicely dry wine.
Yellow fruits and spiciness in the bouquet. On the palate yellow fruits like ripe pineapple, mango, peach and litchi. Some minerals. Mild acidity and bitterness. Dry. It sounds better than it is, because the acidity lacks freshness and that keeps the score low.
In the bouquet red cherries and some rustic impressions. On the palate jammy red fruits like strawberry and raspberry, a bit vegetal. There is some acidity but it lacks freshness. I was not impressed, but according to the group a good party- or BBQ wine.
Very mature bouquet with a lot of herbs and spices and some barnyard. On the palate herbs, metal, rust, high acidity, some oak and soft tannin. The wine is past its prime and not really a pleasure anymore. No score.
Concentrated dark berries, licorice and graphite in the bouquet. Same on the palate, ink, herbs and spices like clove. Some acidity, bitterness and oaky flavors. Overall a concentrated and ok wine which lacks a bit in freshness.
Smoky bouquet with red and dark berries and some minerals. On the palate the same fruits, smoke and minerals, chocolate and soft acidity and tannin. German Syrah! Result of global warming? Definitely not a bad wine.

Grapy bouquet with muscatel and apples. On the palate slightly sparkling, some sweetness and hardly any acidity. A bit like lemonade.

In the bouquet some chalky minerals, citrus and nuts. On the palate old apples, salty minerals, some acidity and unpleasant bitterness in the finish.
