Doug and Reme came over for a casual dinner - i'll let Doug do the food notes but i am STUFFED :)
it was probaly the most relaxing evening in a LOOOONG time and something both Svetlana and I really needed - thanks SO much guys..a perfect day. the ones that arent planned are the best ones! :)

  YUMMMY! dark cherry color - could have been 2-3 years old by the color, ripe cherry, mushroom, herbs on the nose, lively acidity - great long finish. at peak now but not in decline. perfect chianti.. and perfect food wine.

  QPR ALERT - this is lovely..first notes - i thought it might be gamay, but tasted more like a monastrell from spain. fresh fruit, almound, plum, berries... light body (only 12% alc) richer tannins on finish, great lift from the acidity, figs and raspberry notes.. lovely stuff with food or as a sipper.. A BUY in my book!
