Red berries, nicely mature to start, less interesting with more air. Also less interesting as it got warmer. Tasty enough, i'd pop-and-pour and enjoy quickly at colder than cellar temp. Prob better 5 years ago.

Very opulent and ripe stone fruit with sweet spice. I liked this wine from start through middle, but its hot, alcohol-driven finish is so unbalanced and tough to appreciate.
Nicely floral with elegant baked apple and some peach. Lean for Condrieu with moderate length and engaging textures. I brought this as a relief from SQN whites, and found it hit the spot accordingly. No surprise, others disagreed. But the Somm was on my side.
Blackberry and blueberry throughout with intriguing combination of Indian curry and French baking spice. But the highlight here is the excellent balance of fruit, spice, structure, textures and earth. Best experience ever with this wine, it is clearly in its peak drinking window now.
Inconsistent with the last time I've had this wine, it was terribly off balance and out of kilter. Uninterested. Certainly an off bottle, but hard to determine exactly how/why.
Black fruit throughout with depth of concentration. Slightly backward tonight, this was less opulent vs when last tasted a few years ago, starting to show some bashful reserve, but clearly will reward more time in the cellar given its density and balance. Better in another 2-5 years, with 93-95 point potential.
Black fruit, sweet spice, dark chocolate and cherry liqueur comes cross as a perfectly integrated package with energy and lift on long finish. Very consistent with previous bottles. A personal SQN fav.
USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County
Dense black fruit with Asian five spice and black pepper. Great fruit comes across a so clean and precise, just slightly less nuanced than the best of the SQNs tasted tonight. Upside going forward. Very tasty.
Open 6 hours before serving, 2 hours in decanter. Berries galore with roast beef and Asian five spice. Sweet hints, but fundamentally intensely savory and meaty. Excellent now with real upside.
Open 8-10 hours before serving, most of which were in decanter. Ripe black plum and cherry with great density. Sweet hints along with savory. i think this might turn into something as exciting as the 2007, but is still so primary now that is comes across as less nuanced today.
Open and decanted many hours, I still found this so primary and raw that it was tough to enjoy tonight as a dinner wine, despite clear and pronounced great raw materials.

Too tropical, certainly disjointed. Third time I've tried this wine and it has never shown anything seriously or remotely interesting.
