France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Montlouis-sur-Loire
Apple aromas. Mint and green fruit flavors-pretty unusual flavor profile for Loire Chenin Blanc. Light, elegant, tart, high acid. Not entirely balanced.
Intense candied pear. More unctuous, higher residual sugar than the Argiles. Pure fruit with some grapefruit too. Adequate acidity, soil kicks in at the end.
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Montlouis-sur-Loire
Most sap and body of all the wines, but still precise finish. Low pitched, some citrus, but complex, subtle fruit. Slightly wooly like a Savenièrres, great texture.
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Montlouis-sur-Loire
Magnum. Very sound, light color. Fragrant and honeyed. Less weighty entry than the 2014 Franc de Pied but lots of glycerine later. Rich, Demi-Sec sweetness, strong botrytis. Good amount of soil late, and overall delicate finish. Delicious.

Fresh, vivid orange scents. Medium weight, off dry. Wow, the fruit here is all grapefruit-very surprising character for a Montlouis.

Rich fruit nose. Lighter weight than some Vouvray. Dry, round, clay-based foundation, and good, soil-filled finish. Elegant if slightly dilute.
