60% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 20% other varietals. In the bouquet herbs and brett (Which was gone after enough air time.), cherries and red berries, earth and some green impressions. On the palate a start with cherries and spices like pepper. Also laurel, oak and minerals. Mild acidity and tannin and ok bitterness. Very tasty wine. 87 - 88

Herbal, somewhat reticent bouquet with impressions of medicine and clove. On the palate a juicy wine with cherries, dark berries and pepper. Juicy acidity, some minerals, chocolate and tannin with a pleasant bite. Very enjoyable wine. Ready now and the next few years. 88+

In the bouquet creamy red berries, herbs, chocolate and plums. On the palate tea, red and dark berries, herbs, juicy and peppery. The wine was a bit unpleasant at first, but with some more air time it improved considerably. Also brown biscuit spices appeared.

The bouquet shows barnyard flavors and herbs. A bit overripe fruits, but not unpleasant. On the palate red berries, chocolate, barnyard, soft acidity and tannin. The wine is surprisingly mature, but still has good freshness. I liked it.

The bouquet shows barnyard and minerals, ripe dark berries, vanilla and clearly syrah flavors. On the palate concentrated dark berries. Firm, but supple at the same time, some chocolate and toast. Metal. Good acidity and tannin and a touch of pleasant sweetness.

In the bouquet barnyard, coffee, chocolate, coconut and smoke; really beautiful. On the palate juicy dark fruits with good and fresh acidity, herbs and tannin with still a good bite. Excellent wine with still a future of a few years.

In the bouquet sweet spices, dark and red berries and licorice as well as some vanilla. On the palate ripe dark berries, herbs and spices, some soy, mint and salty licorice. Overall a beautiful wine with good fresh acidity and tannin. Tastes more youthful than the 2007 (which I prefer for the moment), but in 5+ years this 2005 will probably be the winner.

This wine is a blend of 80% Marsanne and 20% Viognier. The result is a nice wine with a floral bouquet, with pear, anise and some minerals as well. On the palate white fruits, melon, good and mild but fresh acidity. Some citrus as well. Juicy wine.

In the bouquet yellow tropical fruits, pear, vanilla and good oak. On the palate the oak is evident but beautifully dosed and adds to the complexity. A bit fat in a pleasant way. Mango, bees wax, minerals, good acidity and soft bitterness. Overall a lush wine.
