Introduction

We all had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought. All wines were poured fully blind, also not knowing when your own wine was poured.

  • 2012 Prinz zur Lippe Friederike trocken 83 Points

    Germany, Sachsen

In the bouquet red berries, and candy flavors. On the palate cherry yoghurt, candy flavors, a firm amount of ok acidity. Overall a friendly wine without real complexity and luxury. I understood that “Friederike” is a blend between Dornfelder and Spätburgunder.

  • 2005 Deutzerhof Dornfelder 80 Points

    Germany, Ahr

In the bouquet cherries and yoghurt. On the palate cherries, red berries, some cassis, pleasant acidity and supple easy going tannin with just a little bite.
