Interesting notes:
- Sauternes: Coutet and Fargues were awesome. The others were all enjoyable but were a solid step behind these two.
- As usual for my palate, St. Julien was quite good. Lynch Bages and Gruaud Larose were particular standouts.
2015 Château Coutet Barsac 94 Points
France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Barsac
Stunning aromatics, white fruit, pineapple, tropical, fresh, minerality; palate is rich but balanced, clean, superb cut, excellent fruit, a bit of salinity through the mid palate; medium long finish. 94
On retaste, still superb aromatics. Clean, sharp, still sweet, but superb. Really lovely, nose>palate, with the palate not quite as complex as the Fargues but still quite good. 93-95++

Aromatic, citrus, honey, floral, complex; palate is medium-full bodied, white fruits, balanced medium sweetness, fresh acidity but without the sharp cut of coutet; medium-long finish. Lovely, but this will be better with time. 92
On retaste, the palate is quite excellent. Great! Needs time. 92-95+
