    France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Vacqueyras

    Average vine age:40 years old; Typically 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, & 15% Syrah, aged 12 to 18 mos, 60% in wooden tronconic vats (FR Oak), 40% in concrete vats, & 10% in demi-muids (600 l barrels).

    N: Earth, minerals, poss berries

    P: LM body; NICE, almost swtish frt met by tangy astringency which slowly morphs into a LONG, somewhat tangy finish with notes of bitterswtness. DESERVES into late summer '18, then drinking for 2-3 yrs more. My VG-/VG. 88 pts Gilbert & Gaillard, 14.5/20, then 16/20 Jancis Robinson, & 14/20 La Revue du Vin de France. [This vendor's $13.95 is more than $11 < than the only other currently listed vendor on wine-searcher!]

    N: Closed; garigue?

    P: LM body; NICE, almost swtish frt firmed by a spicy/tangy, init very, VERY finely tannic mid-P which pretty much show through much of the fairly LONG finish with a spicy, tangy/swtness. DESERVES until mid '18, then drinking for 2-3 yrs more. My VG. 88 pts Gilbert & Gaillard. [This vendor's $12.95 is as good as anyone currently listed on wine-searcher.]

    70% Grenache & 30% Syrah; About 6 months in tanks with a small part in oak “foudres” (30hl barrels)

    N: Ripe berries with garrigue

    P: LM, poss Med, body; NICE frt counterbalanced by acidity which pretty much extends through the LONG, balanced, tangy/swt finish. For now & through '19... easily. My VG-/VG. [This vendor's $14.95 is competitive.]

    "Les Vignerons d’Estézargues is a co-operative in the small town of Estézargues which is located near Avignon. Depending on the vintage, up to 10% of the blend is Grenache from the same terroir as the Syrah." [WA claims this particular vintage is 100% Syrah.]

    N: Closed; Some berries, garrigue?

    P: LM body; ALMOST swtish frt met by some ALMOST puckerish astringency which pretty much resolves by the fairly LONG, tangy/swt finish with occasional notes of bitterness. Deserves into mid '18, then drinking into if not through '21. My VG. NICE QPR @ this vendor's $10.95, which is in the top 20% or so of the current wine-searcher listings. 91 pts WA

    P: Med body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt met by somewhat puckerish astringency which slowly, fairly seamlessly morphs into a LONG, bitterSWT finish . Might improve into late Spring / early Summer '18, then hold into '21. My VG/VG+. 90-92 pts WA, 87 pts RJonWine. [This vendor's $12.95 beats all the other current wine-searcher listings be at least $1,]

    P: LM, poss Med, body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt NICELY counterbalanced by a very, VERY finely tannic adidity which slowly transitions into a fairly LONG, spicy/swt finish with occasional notes of bitterness. For now (with food) & into '20. My VG-/VG. 94 pts WA [This vendor's $9.95 is at LEAST $1.50 < than anyone else in wine-searcher's HUGE field!]
