  • NV Eric Rodez Champagne Grand Cru Cuvée des Crayères

    Disgorged in 2013. Thanks Jonathan. A narrow cork of poor quality. This champagne is clearly oxidized, vinous, without bubbles but with aromas of roasted apple, although somewhat short and with an abrupt ending in the mouth. Like it but lacks elegance and class to stand out among it's peers.

    Degollada en 2013. Gracias Jonathan. Corcho estrecho de escasa calidad. Un champán claramente oxidado, vinoso, sin burbujas con aromas a manzana asada aunque algo corto y de final un tanto abrupto en boca.e gusta pero carece de elegancia y de clase como para destacar entre sus iguales.

    Very young in the mouth, acid and unbalanced but at least on the nose presents memories of pears in syrup and smoked hay thanks to the treixadura grape. Right now to be drunk with antacids.

    Muy joven en boca, ácido y desequilibrado pero al menos en nariz presenta recuerdos a peras en almíbar y a heno ahumado gracias a la treixadura. Ahora mismo para tomar con antiácidos.

    Nowadays it is named WineryOn. Unbalanced, alcoholic, signed by the Alicante Bouschet ... Someone said that 15 was fruitier, what a lucky soul :-) Anyway that name warning you from the real beginning, so you are advised.

    Ahora es Winery On. Desequilibrado, alcohólico, marcado por la Alicante Bouschet ... dicen que el del 15 era frutal, qué suerte.
    De todas formas el nombre ya avisa desde un principio.

    Very good, more PC on the nose (bitter butter) and sweeter, more PX in the mouth. Length and flavor without limits. It is not archetypal but it has a great class indeed.

    Muy bien, más PC en nariz (mantequilla agria) y más dulce, más PX en boca. Longitud y sabor sin límites. No es arquetípico pero tiene una gran clase.

    Timid on the nose and something better in the mouth with that expected sweetness, but after Valdespino? It's like a rocket that does not have enough wick to ascend above that PC 95 points? Like tasting 2006 Burgundy, you were drunk my friend.

    Nariz tímida y algo mejor en boca con el dulzor esperado pero, ¿después de Valdespino? Es como un cohete que no tiene mecha suficiente para ascender por encima de ese PC.

    "La Claudina no more. Perfect for what it is on the nose with sap and green leaves crushed appley and pear but that sharp acidity without any other element does not let enjoy the wine.
    Wide without persistence. Elegant without length. Where the Gutilobby goes.

    De momento nada de Claudina. Perfecta en nariz savia y hojas verdes machacadas manzanita y pera en poca la afilada acidez sin ningún elemento más no deja disfrutar del vino.
    Amplio sin persistencia. Elegante sin recorrido. Ahí sigue vendiendo el Gutilobby.

    After years of lasting in the bottle. Apple, wet earth and sour milk. Nothing exceptional but enough to enjoy a little.
    Acidity of its MF but with some sense. Asking for food urgently.

    Acidez de su puta madre pero con algo de sentido. Pide comida con urgencia.

    Manzanita, cereal y ligeramente mineral. Ácido hasta la médula en boca, indigestible y sin permanencia alguna. P'al perro. No pierdo aquí ni un segundo más.

    Expired mercurochrome, oxidised iron, fresh meat soaked in spices.
    Sharp acidity with cherries and little length. Then an awful vintage or a failed bottle, you choose ... After another hour in the glass there is no doubt: capers and pickles ergo defective. A rara avis.

    Mercromina pasada, hierro oxidado carne fresca bañada en especias.
    Acidez afilada con cerezas y escaso recorrido. Añada espantosa o botella fallida, a elegir ... Tras otra hora en copa ya no hay duda: alcaparras y encurtidos ergo fallida. Una rara avis.
